Early Leaders Program
Program Overview
Our Early Leaders program is an opportunity for second-year students from diverse communities to join us for a week-long, immersive inclusion experience. You’ll gain exposure to core functional areas of our business, while honing your communication, analytical and leadership skills. This is an ideal resume-building opportunity if you’re passionate about e-commerce and technology, and it could turn into an internship opportunity with Wayfair. The program is typically held during the third week of May, just after the completion of your academic year.
The Experience
You’ll spend a week at Wayfair’s corporate headquarters in Boston, Massachusetts, engaging with Wayfair’s senior leadership through targeted sessions and informal networking.

- Workshops focused on developing analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Panels highlighting our Employee Resource Groups, early career opportunities, and Wayfair workgroups
- Engage in conversations centered around diversity, equity and inclusion
- Collaborate as part of a small team to tackle real-life business situations as part of a case competition
- Experiencing all that Boston has to offer through social events like neighborhood tours and sporting events
Program Requirements
To apply for the program, you should:
- Hold sophomore year status in an undergraduate program
- Be interested in e-commerce or technology
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be able to thrive as part of a team and while working individually
- Have an entrepreneurial spirit
- Be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Have a strong academic record
Application Process
Applications launch in early February of each year. During the process, the Campus Team will hold an info session to go over the program in more detail and answer any questions.
