Kellie Greer, Senior Manager, Global Service Training, joined Wayfair in 2016 as a Service Trainer, and has since held a variety of roles in Training & Development. In 2023, she relocated from Bangor, Maine to Athens, Georgia to lead Wayfair’s Global Training & Development Center of Excellence. She began her career in elementary education; for 20 years before joining Wayfair, Kellie held roles in classroom instruction, curriculum design and implementation, with several leadership positions included. Now, her focus is to build on Wayfair’s culture to develop its employees professionally, and get the most out of them.

Building trust within your teams has proven to be a successful tactic in employee success and team morale. Along her career journey, Shardé Marchewski, Global Head of Purpose & Inclusion, has seen a variety of leadership methods, some of which have worked, some of which haven’t. What has always worked in her experience is building trust among your teams. As the leader of Wayfair’s Purpose & Inclusion team, she believes in making sure trust is at the forefront of her leadership style. In celebration of Global Volunteer Month, Wayfair’s Social Impact Team recently hosted a volunteer “pitch” event where four teams of Wayfairians came together to help two local nonprofits: Housing Families and Fenway Community Development Corporation. Each of these organizations share our belief in creating a sense of home for all, and in partnering together, we knew we could confidently make a positive impact in our local community.

Boston Design Week seeks to increase public appreciation of all aspects of design, highlighting the vital role design plays in our lives and bringing new audiences to a wide array of design industries and organizations.

At Wayfair, we celebrate our employees who are dedicated to supporting safe, accessible housing in their local communities. Since July of 2022, Wayfair employees have been working with the local Habitat for Humanity affiliate representing Greater Boston on a project based in Malden, MA. After 35 years of building homes in Boston neighborhoods and nearby suburbs, Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston began looking for opportunities to build homes in communities north of Boston.
