Wayfair Professional recently teamed up with Pinterest to kick off Boston Design Week 2024 as the first event in a two-week series at the AllModern store in Dedham, MA. Boston Design Week seeks to increase public appreciation of all aspects of design, highlighting the vital role design plays in our lives and bringing new audiences to a wide array of design industries and organizations.
Wayfair Professional Head of Design, Rebecca Breslin, and Lead Client Partner at Pinterest, Jen Pastore, presented on “How to Use Pinterest to Grow Your Design Business.” Jen shared how the social media platform can help grow your design business, covering everything from the latest Pinterest features to finding and sharing inspiration with clients. Rebecca chimed in with her own experience collaborating on Pinterest with her clients, plus how Wayfair Professional has everything you need to take projects from floor plan to furnished.
The presentation was followed by the opportunity to network with other design professionals, browse the AllModern store and chat one-on-one with Jen and Rebecca. Plus, each attendee went home with an exclusive gift from the Pinterest and Wayfair Professional team.
"We were thrilled to partner with our friends at Pinterest and Boston Design Week to collectively support local professional designers who are growing their businesses and meeting clients' needs every day,” said Sanjeev Singh Sahni, Vice President of B2B Business & Global Sales. “Interacting with our customers live is the very best part of our work here at Wayfair Professional. This event represents just the first of many steps we’re taking to support interior designers who are the focus of our B2B business. We’ll continue to invest our B2B Marketing efforts in serving all professionals and businesses and make Wayfair Professional the trusted brand for these customers.”
The event attracted more than 80 registered attendees, including the design team and winners of HGTV’s Battle of the Mountain, Renovation Husbands – who bring more than 300,000 followers everywhere they go. “Having a strong partnership with the Pinterest Team has enabled us to accelerate brand awareness and reach beyond our network alone,” said Emily Mahonski, Head of B2B Brand Partnerships & Events. “We were energized by the strong turnout for the Boston Design Week event as we work to rebuild our events marketing muscle.”
The Pinterest Team was equally excited about the opportunity to partner with us, as well as by the results of the event. “Partnering with the Wayfair Professional Team at the Boston Design Week event was an exciting way to collectively get our brands in front of a key customer of both of ours – designers,” said PJ Andersen, Sr. Industry Manager at Pinterest. “The more than 50 designers in attendance came away inspired to get more out of both our platforms and we’re looking forward to doing more together.”
